Digital Innovation Show — Creating a compelling brand in just a week

The Digital Innovation Show promises to fuel business growth and innovation across the UK.

Following a successful launch in Southampton, Mintsource Events approached us to create a compelling site for DIS2017.

With a marketing campaign poised to launched, we delivered a solution in less than a week to boost signups and sell exhibition space.


Research & planning

The engagement started with an in-depth discovery call which explored areas such as: 

  • Business goals & challenges

  • The previous Southampton event

    • challenges

    • visitor feedback

    • changes for the Bournemouth show

From this, it was clear that a better approach to sell exhibition space and sponsorship opportunities needed to be baked into the site. 

It also provided invaluable insight into DIS visitors and the target audience. With days to go, there wasn’t time to conduct extensive research. However, we used existing feedback to build key personas and customer journey plans for the site.


Following the customer journey plans and personas, we made the creative content, including copywriting and other graphics. Qualitative feedback from visitors guided this stage. 


Building the site

We chose Squarespace as the platform for the site. It provides easy to use editing tools and extensive support which facilitates updates.

It also means that maintenance needs, such as security updates, are handled without any intervention. Perfect for a small, fast-moving company.

With their powerful tools we were able to get the site ready for Gemma's marketing campaign in just 4 days.
